Economics Homework: A Concern

Hi all... just clearing up a concern here that was brought to my attention, and I don't want to offend anyone:

 What the goal of the assignment is, is basically to compare what they ”thought” a household’s monthly expenses were (from the class project) to real life, so I thought using their own family as a resource would be a good idea. The interview questions they brought home are the exact same as the class questions. I told them that they, of course, did not have to share this info (especially the "income" question) with anyone, just to interview and compare. Now that I think about it, I can absolutely see why this question would bother some. So, I’ll talk to the class again and reiterate that they should not share this info with me, just compare to their ”pretend” project they did in class. And if you don't feel comfortable with any portion of this project, skip it.
