Questions 5 and 17.
If I was the author of this book I would probably change
the location of the story a bit. This is because I think that such a
tremendously good and exciting book could at least have a few scenes in a more
populated and bigger city. Overall, I think that the location of this book is
good though. But when Christopher was doing his detective work about the murder
of the dog, it would have given the plot some extra spice by reading about a
big and bustling city .It would make you feel more like he was making it
interesting.
I think that the name Christopher is a good name for this book. I don’t
feel that the name Christopher makes the book more special or interesting, but neither
does it make it less. For me the name of a character is not so important in a
book. I think that this is because there is usually nothing special with the
character´s name. Also, I think that it could have been an improvement to the
book by having Christopher meet his mom at the hospital and the author could
have described how it was like at the hospital.
Where I am right now in the book, Christopher is being
a detective, to try to figure out who killed the dog. First I think that he
will go to other houses to see what they saw or heard and try find out what
they know about the dreadful incident. After that he will probably start
getting nosy and go to his prime suspect.
The fact that Christopher acts like a real detective, really
gives spice to the story and also the way he thinks (since he is diagnosed with
Asperger´s syndrome).
Right now Christopher´s prime suspect is the dogs
owner´s husband! Later on he will try to find more proof that his prime suspect
is the true criminal. He will probably accuse his suspect, but I have a bad feeling
that he will be wrong and that his suspect will be calling the police because
Christopher will refuse leave the husband´s property. If that happens it will
be bad, because that will be his second time at the police station in a short
period of time. His dad will come to pick him up from custody and I think that
after two police incidents, Christopher will drop the investigation and just
stay out of things, as his dad wants him to. I don’t think that he will ever figure
out who did the deed, but at least his dad will hopefully be happy again after
a long time of sadness.
