The Throne Of Fire

The Throne Of Fire
By Rick Riordan

Question 13

This is a fantasy adventure book. It is about two siblings Carter and Sadie Kane. They are descendants of the magical house of life. In this book they have to stop the snake Apophis from breaking free from prison and swallow the sun or the world will end. To stop him they have to bring back the sun god Ra. But they have to find her first. They travel the world to find the three scrolls of the book of Ra.
This book had a lot of action and always have you guessing what will happen next.

This was not a book I would normally read, as this was maybe too much fantasy. It teaches a lot about Egyptian mythology, about good and evil, but some of this is a bit confusing, especially if you haven’t read the first books, which I hadn’t.  Sometimes I felt I was missing information.

Half way through the book it was the same, just action all the time it was basically Carter sleeps, eats, fights, eats, sleeps. After I read the whole book I thought it could have some changes to it, sometimes there was no action and then almost too much. But the thing about the book I thought it was a bit of symbolism and the symbolism I thought of was that the world will extinct soon. Sadie and Carter show that if you have courage you can help people you care about. It is also about making sacrifices for people you love. If I would suggest this book to someone it would be to someone that likes when something happens all the time basically. That likes adventure and magic.
