This week we studied the Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King, Jr.
The kids will be writing a 5 paragraph thought essay on a film they saw and based on 2 sworn affidavits from African Americans that were brutalized during the Civil Rights Movement (taken from Mississippi Black Paper, Testimonies of Police Brutality from 1965)
Homework on this will be: (the students do not have a hard copy of this as the printer was malfunctioning. They will have to use the blog. They can do this on the computer if desired)
