Reading Log: Looking For Alaska

Question 2

Since I just finished reading my book "Let it Snow", obviously I needed a new book. One author that really catches my attention and writes books in my taste is John Green. I decided to start reading "Looking For Alaska" witch is by the way "The New York Times Bestsellers", also written by John Green. After reading a couple of chapters I couldn't stop reading. The story was built up in a way that I could in point of fact see a picture in my head. After all, I haven't come that far with the book, yet the book had a nice and cozy introduction, the main character in the book, Miles Halter, follows his father's footsteps by starting in a boarding school located in Alabama. Nothing that captivating has happened except that his eyes fall for a beautiful young girl named Alaska. I don't have that reinforced feelings about the book since the first chapters is basically introduction (as I said), but one thing I know is that it is not boring.

Question 8

One of the things that beyond doubt caught my attention are the names of the chapters. In the first chapter it says:
"One hundred thirty-six days before"
That seriously  made me stop and think for a while. I asked my self "what is going to happen"? Why would the someone count the days before something happened? In addition to my point, on the back of the book it says:
"after. Nothing is ever the same."
I think there is defiantly going to be a twist ending. Something that no one except the author was going to envisage, maybe someone dies. All that jazz leaves me with various questions, I think that something is going to happen to Alaska since the book is called "Looking for Alaska".
